Bluefig was founded in Vancouver, Washington with the intent of perfecting an ergonomic method for travel for the sewing and quilting community. In the early 2000’s Bluefig began experimenting with different solutions for carrying larger and heavier sewing machines to class and guild meetings, all the while seeking a classic styling that complimented the lifestyle of the sewing and quilting enthusiast. As a result of a year’s work, Bluefig launched the TB19 wheeled travel bag to dealers across the US. Attending International Quilt Market in Houston, Bluefig was recognized as an innovator in the industry that gave a more suitable opportunity for those to travel with their machines. Year after year since, Bluefig has continued to push the envelope in design and aesthetics to deliver functional, elegant, and fun accessories to the quilting and sewing lifestyle consumer.
Bluefig believes in the saying "Do something creative every day." The popularity of sewing and quilting classes is skyrocketing, allowing classes to be more readily available for all ages. Bluefig helps make the transportation of your sewing machine and notions to class easy and elegant. The designers in Vancouver, Washington are busy creating new and unique products for the creative every day.
